I like to see it like this...an identity is like a pair of shoes... you put them on, walk around abit to see what it's like to wear them... then when you've had enough...you take them off and walk barefoot again!
Good analogy, Anna. In fact, acknowledging yourself as an Ancient One doesn't necessarily means you make an identity of it. It's a role, or function, or a specific expression of the Infinite One, the only real being in existence. It only becomes an identity if you want to define yourself by it. As long as you see it as the role the Infinite plays through the expression that you are, no problem. And yes, there are different roles. You wouldn't try to play the role of a prince in a beggar suit.
if it is your highest idntity at the time, to see yourself as an ancient one, then so be it. identitys can be helpful in freeing you from the current rung you are on, and then you lose the identity on the next rung until you're all free from the matrix of illusion. one day you will realize effortlessly that identity of any sort is now useless.
